Salt crystallization is an important factor in the deterioration of ancient ceramics and will almost always cause some degree of damage, ranging from exfoliation of the glaze to complete disintegration of the body. To avoid any ultimate damage of aggressive salts, it is very important the essential desalination process be accomplished within a short period of time because of the direct contact of the historical porous material with water. Since  EC is proportional to the concentration of ions, therefore desalination process can be monitored by EC readings. In this paper, it was documented that Electrical Conductivity (EC) is an accurate, reliable, fast and simple method for monitoring of salt extraction during desalination process. To validate this method, 52 experimental runs, designed by Response Surface Methodology (RSM) have been performed. RSM is carried out by Minitab software, version 16. Independent parameters in this research are firing temperature, immersing time, agitation rate, type, and concentration of surfactant. Calcium ion was selected as an indicator of soluble salts and measured through Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). Electrical conductivity and calcium ion concentration are measured as desirable responses. The correlation between Ca2+ concentration and EC readings was also investigated. Pearson correlation between EC and extracted Ca2+ is +0.923 with p-value = 0.000 and linear function between these parameters are observed with approximately 96% goodness of the fit. Therefore, EC is introduced as a suitable indicator for monitoring of salt removal efficiency in the immersing system method. This monitoring method is recommended for determining the end point of desalination process especially in archaeological sites and restoration workshops where a reliable, and fast method is most desirable.   Inserted:  the Inserted: of Inserted: ,}, keywords = {Historical pottery,Monitoring of desalination,Immersing system,Electrical Conductivity (EC)}, title_fa = {ارزیابی عملکرد شاخص هدایت الکتریکی در پایش فرایند نمک زدایی سفالینه های تاریخی}, abstract_fa = {نمکهای محلول از مهم ترین عامل های آسیب رسان به ساختار سرامیک های تاریخی شناخته می شوند که بر اثر ایجاد فشار ناشی از بلورین شدن و هیدراسیون در چرخه های تر و خشک شدن، سبب ایجاد ترک ها و ریزترک ها، پوسته شدن و پودری شدن و سرانجام تخریب اثر میشوند. با توجه به نیاز به انجام عملیات نمکزدایی به منظورخارج کردن نمک های محلول آسیب رسان و اهمیت این مرحله به دلیل تماس مستقیم سفالینه تاریخی با آب و پیامدهای ناشی از آن، کوتاه کردن زمان تماس سفالینه - آب بسیار دارای اهمیت است. در روشهای مرسوم نمکزدایی، پایش کمّی انجام نگرفته و درنتیجه سفالینه به طور معمول به مدت طولانی و غیرلازم در تماس با آب قرار می گیرد. بنابراین دراختیار داشتن روشی دقیق، قابل اطمینان، سریع و دردسترس، برای پایش میزان استخراج املاح، ضروری است. در این مقاله، شاخص هدایت الکتریکی (EC) به عنوان روشی دقیق و ارزان برای پایش فرایند نمکزدایی معرفی شده است. در این راستا با استفاده از روش طراحی آزمایش های سطح پاسخ، طی 52 آزمایش طراحی شده، رابطهی میان استخراج املاح از نمونه با هدایت الکتریکی، مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. متغیرهای مستقل در این پژوهش، دمای پخت قطعه، مدت زمان غوطهوری، سرعت همزدن در سامانه غوطهوری، همچنین نوع و غلظت ماده فعال سطحی بودهاند. یون کلسیم (Ca2+) به عنوان شاخص غلظت املاح درنظر گرفته شد. ضریب همبستگی میان EC و میزان کلسیم خارج شده از شیء، 923/0+ با 000/0p-value =  بوده و رابطهای خطی با قابلیت پیش بینی حدود 96 % بین این دو پارامتر دیده می شود. با توجه به اینکه در محل سایتهای حفاری و کارگاه های مرمت، امکان دسترسی به دستگاه های آنالیز شناسایی کمّییون ها به طور معمول مقدور نیست، از این رو سنجش هدایت الکتریکی روش مناسبی برای پایش فرایند نمکزدایی در سیستم غوطه وری است و تعیین نقطه پایان عملیات  نمکزدایی را نیز به سادگی امکانپذیر می سازد.}, keywords_fa = {سفال تاریخی,شاخص پایش نمک زدایی,روش غوطه وری,هدایت الکتریکی (EC)}, url = {https://www.nsmsi.ir/article_25833.html}, eprint = {https://www.nsmsi.ir/article_25833_3c714f1dd07bdc88cdbbb688ed66e14b.pdf} }
