Determination and study of properanolol on carbon paste electrode modified with Chitosan grafting by Glutaraldehyde magnetic nano particles

Abstract

In this work, electro determination of prpoeranolol on surface of carbon paste electrode modified with Chitosan grafting by Glutaraldehyde magnetic nano particles, was studied. Cyclic voltammetry and square wave voltammetry techniques were used for study of drug. For characterization of the modified the FTIR, XRD, SEM, EDX and BET were carried out.
Factors affecting electrode performance were investigated and optimum conditions were obtained, pH 7, adsorption time 10 min and amounts of modifier 10%. At the optimum conditions, the dynamic linear range from 1to14 micro molar and 14 to 284 micro molar were respectively. This electrode was tested for propranolol measurement in real samples and the results were compared with other propranolol measurement methods and convincing results were obtained. Compared to other methods of measurement, ease of operation and reasonable price, without losing the detection limit are other features of this electrode.
